We follow rigorous compliance standards when hauling contaminated soil, hazardous waste, aggregates, and paving materials, ensuring each truck arrives, operates, and leaves every site safely and responsibly.

Inspections & Maintenance

Each truck undergoes mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Equipment that does not meet safety requirements is immediately parked until corrected. Z&R invests in a modern fleet and continuous maintenance program to ensure reliability, minimize risk, and support safe operations on every project.

Licencing & Insurance

The company is licensed Canada-wide for hazardous materials transport and carries pollution liability insurance, providing an extra level of protection for environmental contractors, municipalities, and First Nations partners. Compliance is monitored carefully, and documentation is maintained to meet regulatory and project-specific standards.

Z&R Operator Qualifications Include:

Minimum of five years of professional driving experience, with demonstrated expertise in heavy haul and construction-related transportation

Strong judgment and decision-making skills, supported by clean driver abstracts and a proven commitment to safe driving practices

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification, where required, with a clear understanding of hazardous materials handling and regulatory compliance

Ongoing training and refresher programs to ensure operators remain current with evolving regulations, equipment, and industry best practices

Regular safety briefings and toolbox talks to reinforce hazard awareness, site-specific requirements, and safe work procedures

Experience working on active construction, remediation, landfill, and industrial sites

Thorough understanding of secure loading, tarping, containment, and spill-prevention procedures

A safety-first mindset that prioritizes the protection of people, the environment, and surrounding communities on every haul
